Nyssa first started teaching theater to kids as an intern with Rocky Mountain Theater for Kids helping teach kindergarten to second graders 8 years ago. She instantly fell in love with watching the joy and excitement every time they said a line correctly, nailed a dance move, or got applause at bows. She immediately made it her mission to learn how to run games, manage rehearsals, and imbue a love of theater into the hearts of future artists. There is nothing more incredible than hearing some of the brand-new ideas from the next generation of theater-makers.

Since Nyssa started, she has worked in all aspects of children’s theater. This includes dabbling in stage management, directing, and choreographing — all of which help little humans develop necessary skills for life such as empathy, teamwork, memorization, leadership skills, and so much more. Nyssa is also a recent graduate of Colorado State University with a BA in Musical Theater Performance. Through her educational experience, she as able to work with Kids Do It All locally in Fort Collins.

She firmly believe that theater provides a safe space for children to express themselves, be creative, and learn valuable skills that help them grow into wonderful, well-rounded people.
